It started in 2008 when the staff of the State Prison in Ghent organized the first "bakrit". This first edition continued with 15 participants through the Flemish Ardennes.
About 2 years after the establishment it was decided to switch from a Motor Touring Club to a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. This is in line with the many existing "Law Abiding" motorcycle clubs that exist internationally. With this we become the 2nd LEMC in Belgium after the Blue Knights.

The Iron Circle Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club was originally founded in Arlington just outside of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in the great State of Texas in December of 2006. Thirteen like minded law enforcement professionals who shared a passion for riding motorcycles, riding together on the open roads formed a brotherhood of trust and loyalty.
